Join us in our ongoing journey to safeguard history,
One artifact, One story, One generation at a time.

Since 1994, the Southern Africa Arms and Ammunition Collectors Association Eastern Cape (SAAACA EC) has been the trusted home for firearm collectors, historians, and preservationists across the Eastern Cape and beyond. With over 30 years of unwavering commitment, our nonprofit organization has grown into a respected authority on the research, study, collection, restoration, and preservation of historic and collectible firearms and related artifacts.
SAAACA EC was founded over 30 years ago, these dedicated individuals whose passion for history, heritage, and responsible collecting laid the foundation for what the organization is today.
Three of the founding members remain active to this day, serving not only as pillars of knowledge but also as custodians of our shared legacy.
Their vision continue to guide SAAACA EC as it evolves to meet the needs of both seasoned collectors and newcomers eager to learn. Through their enduring service, they exemplify the values at the heart of our mission: preservation, education, and community.
At SAAACA EC, we believe firearms are more than objects, they are artifacts that tell stories of craftsmanship, innovation, conflict, and culture.
As such, our mission is to:
Our members come from diverse backgrounds but are united by a common goal: to protect and honor the historical value of arms and ammunition. Whether you're a veteran collector, an academic researcher, or simply intrigued by the legacy of weaponry through the ages, SAAACA EC provides a welcoming space where curiosity meets expertise.
As an affiliate of the National Arms and Ammunition Collectors Confederation of South Africa (NAACCSA), we adhere to national standards and best practices. Our commitment to responsible collecting and the respectful interpretation of history ensures that we contribute meaningfully to the broader heritage landscape of South Africa.
